Topics I found most interesting are when people wrote about internet safety when we were using wikipedia. I agree with a lot of people that you can never be sure and that wikipedia isn't the greatest web source to use. However, I think wikispaces is a great idea! I would love to get one and be able to post study guides, extra informaton, and links to helpful websites that my students can access.
I would love to learn podcating. When doing vocab, i would love to make a podcast for the words so the students will know how to say the words correctly. Also, when given assigned readings for homework, a lot of students just don't do it. I feel like if i created a podcast of me reading the story/essay/poem, they are more likely to listen to it.
I've seen many websites offering podcast workshops. I could take it with other english teachers and we could do one together if we were teaching the same materials.

http://teachertube.com/
As a teacher, i would deinitely use teacher-tube! It's like youtube.com but all the videos are educational. It's very easy to search for videos and they have millions! I'm sure whatever I'm looking for, I can find it on there.
TeacherTube would most benefit me when I'm introducing an author and i want a video on his/her biographical information. Also, there's clips from movies, so if the book we're reading in class was made into a movie, I can show short clips so the students can visualize the scene.
Since, I'm an english teacher, other than entering grades in the gradebook, i don't work with numbers alot. However, I can use excell when creating class averages. I'll also use it to organize reading lists so I can organize title, author, date written, and page numbers, into a table.
