Most of the times I've used Microsoft word is when I'm writing papers. All of our formal essays and research papers had to be types. Occasionally we were assigned to do smaller "journal-like" assignments that were only usually one paged, typed. My teachers in high school normally made up all of the tests we took themselves so they used Microsoft word to type them. Also, study guides were typed using MS and so were all of the direction sheets.
I feel like I am definitely going to use Cute PDF because it's easier than copy & pasting all of the information from a webpage. Also, sending out emails to parents, I'll be able to add links to their children's grades and other websites. I always use the spell checking feature to make sure I don't have mistakes in my writing.
I know how to use MS, but I definitely didn't know that it could do as much as it does. When I need to create posters or handouts for my students, I'll be able to add graphics and play with colors. I'll definitely use the table feature a lot because I love making lists and comparing ideas.
